Cricket News sort by Australia v India 1st Test at Melbourne - Dec 26-30, 2011

It was a dramatic final session to round off the Boxing Day at the MCG as India picked up three quick wickets but Australia recovered nicely thanks to a gritty unbeaten stand between Haddin and Siddle.

Unlike the last time, Australia may not have the likes of Matthew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist, Simon Katich, Andrew Symonds in their side, but they do have talented youngsters in their side. They might lack experience but they are high on potential. Let’s take a quick look at them:

Shaun Marsh is all set to prove his fitness for the Boxing Day Test against India at the MCG. The 28-year-old left hander has decided to do that by turning up for the Perth Scorchers in the Big Bash Leage match at the Etihad Stadium in Melbourne today.

Having lost the likes of Praveen Kumar, Varun Aaron and Sreesanth, Team India seems to be on the verge of losing Ishant Sharma as well for the Australian Test Series! As such there are enough doubts about whether Zaheer Khan would be fully fit or put the team in big trouble by leaving midway like how did on the disastrous England tour.

Australian batsman Shaun Marsh is fighting to be fit in time for the opening Test against India which begins on 26th December in Melbourne.
